Ability 1st Utah is a nonprofit organization that helps individuals with disabilities of any age and of any type of disability to become independent and remain safe in their chosen community environment. We provide independent living skills training classes and activities designed to help increase their independence and self-sufficiency of our consumers.

We can loan equipment through our Loan Bank and Assistive Technology programs. Our independent living coordinators can assist individuals with disabilities in the process of applying for resources in the community that will support and help them break the barriers that they may be facing in their lives.

We also help individuals with disabilities with employment goals and offer the Ticket to Work Program for Social Security beneficiaries who wants to seek financial independence. All of our services are free. Ability 1st Utah wants to give individuals with disabilities the skills that will help them enjoy independent lifestyles.
