ADA Celebrating 31 Years
The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) celebrates 31 years of progress promoting access and inclusion. ADA was passed and signed into law by President George H.W. Bush on July 26, 1990. Since then, ADA mandates have made sidewalks, public transportation, public buildings, parking spaces and other accommodations accessible to those with disabilities. Although there is more work to do, ADA will continue to ensure that people with disabilities have the same rights and opportunities as everyone else.
