
TETONS Teens: Sexual Wellness and Abuse Prevention

TETONS “Sexual Wellness and Abuse Prevention” includes a free 4-week class and individualized 1:1 relationship coaching. We help map a road to relationships, self-determination and personal safety for individuals with disabilities. Utah Parent Center, in partnership with Utah Developmental Disabilities Council, have curated this unique material to meet the needs of self-advocates 16-18 years of age.
The course material and class environment is designed with total accessibility in mind. Our program is a safe, inclusive, and judgment-free space. We welcome learners of all abilities, races, ethnicities, gender identities, sexual orientations, and religious affiliations. Everyone deserves access to comprehensive, medically accurate sexual health information.
This class is Part 2 of the two part TETONS series.
We will cover:
-consent
-the human body
-sexual feelings
-public vs. private behaviors
-communication
-readiness for physical intimacy
-hygiene
-doctor appointments
-STDs
-pregnancy prevention
-understanding abuse, and how to report it.
This class is being offered in-person at 5296 S Commerce Dr. Suite 305, Murray, UT 84107. Registering for this program assumes commitment to all 4 classes. Classes are held Fridays 4-6:30pm: 7/11, 7/18, 7/25, 8/1
