OCD and Anxiety – What Parents and Educators Need to Know

To often, devoted parents and educators can ultimately worsen OCD and anxiety when they have the best intentions of making things better. The purpose of this presentation is to empower parents and educators to better support children and adolescents who struggle with OCD and anxiety. Attendees will gain an understanding of the nature of OCD and anxiety, as well as hallmark features to look for. Attendees will also learn about evidence-based care for OCD and anxiety, how and why it works, and how to find and use appropriate treatment resources in the community. Attendees will also walk away with an actionable list of dos and don’ts for supporting someone through OCD and anxiety recovery.
