The mission of the Disability Resource Centers at Institutions of Higher Learning is to allow equal access to college programs, services, and activities for students with disabilities under the American with Disabilities Act and the Rehabilitation Act of 1973. Services may include interpreters, taped text books, a note taker, untimed tests, tests in a separate classroom, and many other accommodations for students with disabilities. Students need to check with the Center and present current testing to see if they qualify for services. To qualify, students must have a DSM-IV diagnosis (psychologist or psychiatrist) and current testing within the last 3 years for certain disabilities.
