What is a Parent Consultant?

Does it cost anything to talk with a Parent Consultant?
No. All services provided through the Utah Parent Center are completely free of charge for families. Our mission is to support parents, not add another expense or barrier.

You can get one-on-one help with understanding the special education and IEP process, preparing for IEP or 504 meetings, learning about your child’s rights under IDEA, finding resources and programs in your community, and connecting to trainings or workshops for parents and professionals.
How do I contact my Parent Consultant?
You can reach out by email, phone, or through your district’s Parent Consultant page. Each page includes the consultant’s contact information and links to local events or trainings.
