Academic Regression

Academic regression is a term used to describe when students experience a loss of skills they had previously mastered. Our students with diverse abilities, such as learning disabilities are especially vulnerable to regression. Regression can happen during long breaks such as fall, spring and summer break. Learn how parents can prevent the ‘Summer Slide’ by working together with their child’s teacher or team to prevent regression during the upcoming summer break.
